Montvale, N.J. – At Mercedes-Benz USA, the “R” in the new R-Class could stand for “Rock-and-Roll” as the company’s newest vehicle introduces a new sports tourer segment by going on tour with the Rolling Stones. As the official automobile partner of the Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang concert tour in the U.S. and Canada, the Mercedes-Benz R-Class is being featured on-location at each concert arena from the tour’s launch at Fenway Park in Boston on August 21 through the Fall for over 60 subsequent concert dates. Volkswagen at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2005

Wolfsburg - The 61st International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt starts in one month’s time where Volkswagen will be presenting a series of new models: 16 international and motor show premieres. The highlight is the debut of the Cabriolet, which manages to join opposites with its new roof system. In addition Volkswagen is presenting the successor of the Golf R32 and the new Golf GT, which marks the start of a new engine generation due to its dual charged FSI engine. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MIEV - All wheel drive using new type of in wheel motor

Tokyo, August 24, 2005 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that it would enter a Lancer Evolution MIEV1 test vehicle in the Shikoku EV Rally 2005 to be held August 27-28 in Tokushima Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, Japan. Deriving from the Company’s Lancer Evolution IX high-performance 4WD sports sedan, Lancer Evolution MIEV uses a lithium-ion battery system to power four newly developed in-wheel motors. The Shikoku EV Rally 2005 is organized by the Shikoku EV Challenge Committee and the Shikoku EV Rally 2005 Executive Committee.

Mitsubishi Motors is driving forward the development of the Mitsubishi In-wheel motor Electric Vehicle (MIEV) next-generation electric vehicle and is planning to bring a MIEV model, built around core technologies of in-wheel motors and high density lithium-ion batteries, to market by 2010.

GM Performance Division Sets Speed Record In Rain-Shortened Bonneville Speed Week

    Prancing horses and raging bulls graced this year’s Italian Concorso over looking Monterey Bay, California. Normally when you think of California, you are reminded by everyone that it’s always sunny. But that is not always true. When you live on the coast or have a beautiful concours show grace the Black Horse Golf Course, one would expect to have sunny skies.
