Houston Auto Show Visitors Have Chance To Win Grand Prix of Houston Tickets

Zerin Dube | January 25, 2006

HOUSTON, Jan. 25, 2005 - Automotive enthusiasts attending the 2006 Houston Auto Show will have a lot to be excited about this year, and that excitement will stem from more than the usual array of spectacular concept cars and the latest automotive products. That’s because fans are welcoming back world-class motorsports to Space City with the 2006 Grand Prix of Houston, and the Grand Prix will host a booth at the Auto Show to give visitors an in-depth preview of all of the exciting action. Best of all, by stopping by the booth at the Auto Show fans will have a chance to win tickets to the highly anticipated Grand Prix, which will take place May 11 - 13 at Reliant Park.

One lucky Auto Show visitor will be selected each day to win a pair of “Super Tickets”, which include three-day reserved Grandstand seating and three days of Paddock Passes for the Grand Prix of Houston. Fans can register simply by filling out an entry form at the Grand Prix display, and a daily winner will be randomly selected from all entries received.

In addition to the ticket giveaway, the Grand Prix of Houston’s display at the Auto Show will include a Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Team show car - an exotic, open-wheel racecar much like the 750 horsepower Champ Cars that will roar around Reliant Park in May. Visitors will also have the opportunity to admire a large diagram of the course layout for the Grand Prix of Houston, a 1.7 mile temporary street track with fast straightaways and hair-pin turns that will optimize the experience for the fans and drivers alike. Representatives from the Grand Prix will be on hand to educate fans about the upcoming event and provide information about ticket and hospitality packages, which are now available through Ticketmaster, Reliant Park, and the Grand Prix of Houston office.

The Houston Auto Show will take place Jan. 28 through Feb. 5 at Reliant Park. Auto Show hours are: Saturdays 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sundays noon to 7:00 p.m., Mon. - Thurs. noon to 9:30 p.m., and Fri. noon to 10:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and kids 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult.
