mchow | February 24, 2006
February 24, 2006 — US Army Specialist, Marshall Wright of 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Bliss, Texas; is celebrating his 23rd birthday in a big way as he receives the keys to the Toyo Tires® Catch Our Drift sweepstakes 2005 Ford Mustang GT. Wright served 14-months in Iraq, returning to his base in El Paso, Texas on July 28th.
Wright’s mother entered his name in the sweepstakes via a mail-in form. The car replicates the appearance of the Toyo Tires® Mustang Drift Car piloted by drifting sensation, Ken Gushi. According to Wright, “Since arriving from Iraq great things have been happening to me. I recently moved into a new house, will be promoted to Sergeant on April 1st, celebrated my 23rd birthday yesterday, and then got the keys to this car today so I can drive it home over the weekend.”

The Catch Our Drift Ford Mustang features silver paint with custom graphics, an Eibach suspension, carbon fiber hood and fresh air intake system, a Flowmaster performance exhaust and 18-inch American Racing five-spoke wheels shod with Proxes T1R™ ultra-high performance tires from Toyo Tires®. According to Travis Roffler, Senior Director of Marketing, Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corporation, “You couldn’t have written a better script for today’s giveaway. We are especially pleased that our car was won by an individual who has selflessly devoted service to this country.”

The Catch Our Drift sweepstakes ran nationwide from June 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005. The sweepstakes celebrated the opening of the new Toyo Tires® North American manufacturing plant in White, Georgia this past December. For more information on Toyo Tires®, log on to toyo.com. Toyo manufactures and distributes a complete line of high performance and original equipment replacement tires for passenger car, light truck, commercial truck, bus, off-road and construction applications.
