I love it when people compare cars without ever driven them, numbers don’t tell the story gentlemen. As an owner of a BMW M6 and the Audi S6, I can say that the audi is the more refined, fun, and more enjoyable car to drive. Short of an all out track day, I drive my audi all the time and leave the M6 to my wife.

I test drove the E63, nice acceleration, but not a driver’s car.

The audi S6 is a lot better than you’d expect, go try one out.

Either Way Audi has alot to offer and BMW and Benz are good as well like i say before, gotta have it in black, with black socks and Pirelli shoes. only then can you call yourself a tru Audi Lover

audi s6 is ridiculous and if your a bmw or benz owner i suggest you see what audi would do for you to switch your lease up

The S6 is in no way set to compare with the E63 Merc or The M5 BMW. The RS6 is coming up soon Sept 07 prolly, now that’s the car the article should wait on to compare with the E63 and the M5 and rumor has it, it might be a V10 Biturbo pushing 600HP’s. With the kind or specs in the rumor mill, I think BMW will have to rash back to the drawing board, same as AMG.
Both the S6 and the S8 are outstanding cars and I would chose those over Merc or Bima any day considering it’s an all year round car, unlike the E55/S55 and the BMW 550/750 that have to spend all winter in the garage :). Not very interesting considering the amount of money you have to cough to own one, judt to have driving it dictated by the weather….

perfect cars.. as for the MB .. its superchargerd and it cost whole lot more then both of these cars and realiability is not there. A for ride comfort thast why its and audi.. its way sportier then MB.. Oh yeas i cna drive all year round AWD and 0-60 is impressive.. as is n/a aspirated..The interios is not outdated.. cuz it has no resemblece to othercars .. well for the sterring wheel only as all audis have that.
But it looks more classy then MB and BMW

If I wanted to see plastic around me and marginal additional power for roads that do not allow speeds over 65mph and a compromise of handling in all but perfect weather and road conditions and pay a premium for it I would get a MB or BMW. Then again, I confuse their style with Hyundais. But no thanks. I’d stick with a refined all-weather any-condition luxury sport cruiser that has style, class, performance and doesn’t make me look like a jock that is desperate for attention, I’ll take the S6 (or S8) in Metallic Charcoal.

I still have not gotten used to the front grille design. It looks non aerodynamic to me. Also I don’t care for Audi’s interior with the Red hues around the guages, the interiors seem outdated, and look like all previous Audi’s. Still if you are looking for an AWD vehicle, there isn’t much out there in this category. The E 63 might be faster in a straight line, but it won’t inspire as much confidence in the snow and rain drenched roads. I test drove a 2006 A8L and was not impressed with the Ride (too much wind/road noise for a car at that level (Lexus’s mid range cars are quiter), and the rear seat ride is a little rough on uneven roads. we played with all the suspension settings and put it on the softest, but on an uneven highway, the back seat passenger in the A8L complained that the ride was a little rough, if the S8 tightens up the ride, I can imagine that it won’t be pleasant for a long drive.

They don’t do that much for me. I think they cost wayyy too much for what they are. Their 0-60 times are not impressive, nor are their luxurious interiors. There are competing with the Mercedes-Benz E63 (at least the S6 is anyway), whose 0-60 is 4.3 seconds and whose interior I find to be much more appealing. I’ll pass. I’d take a Mercedes over an Audi any day of the week.
