KW Suspensions - KW Competition wins GT2 Driver’s Championship 2006 American Le Mans Series
mchow | November 8, 2006After a season full of podium finishes KW Competition secures the top three spots in the Driver’s Championship in the GT2 class with the Petersen/White Lighting Team and Flying Lizards.
Petersen/White Lighting and The Flying Lizards, both field Porsche 996 RSR’s equipped with KW’s 3 way Competition suspension. Both teams have been neck and neck all year and it all came down to the final race of the series.
The finale at Laguna Seca Raceway was filled with trials and tribulations, but as the dust settled, Petersen/White Lightning took 2nd while the Flying Lizards took 4th and 6th.
The overall Drivers Championship went to Jorg Bergmeister and Petersen/White Lightning, followed by Johannes van Overbeek and the Flying Lizards in 2nd and 3rd place to Patrick Long and Petersen/White Lightning.
In Team Championships Petersen/White Lightning took 2nd and the Flying Lizards received 3rd place.
