It is completely new specifically developed for the R8. Also, it is very likely that Audi will show at Detriot a V12 TDI around 500 bhp with some eye-bulging torque. This is should be an interesting study if this is true...the firs road production diesel high performance sports car. Expect a targa version of the R8 as well. What I love about Audi is that it does its own thing without treating its owners as twits the way others do. When others zag, Audi zigs. That is the way it should be...that makes Audi, well Audi!
