They are actually referred to as exhaust brakes but mean the same thing as a jake brake. Exhaust brakes are an aftermarket add on for all of the turbo diesel rigs like the cummins, powerstroke and duramax diesel’s. The beautiful thing about the Cummins is it’s the most popular and has the most upgrades available by far. I have seen the diesel powered rigs runn 1100+ horsepower.

About the Jake Brake….Clessie Cummins the founder of Cummins actually created the engine brake after he left Cummins Engine Co.. He later sold it to Jacobs.

Man if I didnt live in D.C. where I would probably roll over a Prius every few miles without even noticing I would get one of these in a heartbeat. Stinks about the interior though.
