It's pretty easy to make your own track too. then you can race whenever you want. and theres no rules/regulations.

I had my son's 6th birthday party at a track. His friends (and some of their parents) had never seen anything like this before. I've made my son a fan. He has his own track in the basement.

Another thing to add… if, say, you are racing another slot car and it comes down to the final lap? Your car wont get hurt too bad if you roll it on an elevation change in the track… nor will there be a shark-themed slot car that may or may not have bumped you…

I like slot car racing so much that I built a 75' 4lane "woody" for me and the grand kids (16 & 14) to race on. We have some battle royals each time we race….And the way I see it there are a lot of "old farts" that just want to complain that they have no place ro race!!!!

Here is a great stat. The faster slot cars go 0 to 60 mph and back to 0 in one second !!!. Thats actual speed !!! And yes, they will lay rubber all over the track !!!!

Ah, come on Ryan!!

Na, you do lay some rubber down believe it or not, motors go up in smoke, cars flying off the track & breaking lights (Crash ;p) along with a couple other things that comes along with slot car racing.

Granted, NOTHING like driving the real thing, but deff worth checking out if you never have tried it before. Alot of fun & hopefully you got a cool bunch of people to race with…

Alright, I'm calling it, this doesn't count!!! If there isn't a potential* to lay some strips of tire on the ground(or atleast dig some ditches in the dirt), then I'm claiming it doesn't count.

*I know, your Grandma's 1.8l Cadillac Cimarron can't really spin the tires, but you should be driving a vehicle that can in the first place. Thus, potential.

That being said, I may just have to get into some slot car racing…
