Now that we're nearly 5 months past this event, I think it will go down as a watershed event for social marketing. A major corporation made the decision to put social media ahead of traditional media for what Jay Leno just said was a "breakthrough car" – the Chevy Volt pre-release.

Nice write-up, Adam! I was one of the brand representatives from design (GMC). I didn't notice you or Ray on the innitial media attendance list. Had I, I would have surely looked out for you. Thank you for setting the record straight on some of the early "verbalized, visual feedback" from a few of the first reviews. I think a lot of people who weren't there, were coming away with the wrong impressions, based on how some of the media was describing the product……especially in the case of the Malibu. It was driving me crazy……haha.
