On The Road With S:S:L – BMW Museum Munich

BMW Welt - Munich, Germany

No motoring enthusiast’s trip to Germany is complete without a stop to the BMW Museum located adjacent to the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany.  Built in 1972 just before the Munich Summer Olympics opened, the museum features vehicles and powertrains dating all the way back to the early 1930s.  As with our prior museum galleries, we’ve photographed each exhibit at the museum for your enjoyment.  Leave a comment and let us know what exhibit in the BMW museum you would love to see in-person the most.

If you enjoy this gallery, don’t forget to check out our other photo galleries from our trip to Germany, and like us on Facebook to have a chance of winning a copy of Need For Speed Shift2 for the console of your choice!

  • It was nice to see these photos, as I will probably never get there in person. I always enjoy seeing the ones that got me going on BMW's, My first one was a 600 Isetta, then I found a 700 coupe, a 700 convertable, and a 700 sport coupe. Unfortunately I had no idea how special the "Sport" made that car, I scrapped it, but as we rolled it up on it's side I saw the sway bars, then years later read that they had a close ratio gearbox in them! If they only would of started dependably! I was young, my last one was a 735i, (not as good fuel mileage as the early 700's!) Picture 138 I believe is of a 700 sport coupe, and for memories sake, my favorite!
