Is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo too peasant spec for you? Well, good news! After several long months of teasing, Bentley has officially revealed the new Bentayga SUV, which is based on the EXP 9 F Concept shown previously. Bentley says the Bentayga is the fastest, most luxurious, and most exclusive SUV in the world. It is, after all, a Bentley.
Being a Bentley, the Bentayga is adorned with the typical posh interior of handcrafted wood, shiny metal bits, and the best leather money can buy covering any surface you can think of. The Bentayga is available in both four or five seat configurations. The front seats feature 22-way adjustable seats with programmable massage and ventilation systems.
Typical for the class, the Bentayga features a panaromic sunroof and an 8-inch infotainment system to keep passengers pampered to the fullest. Rear seat passengers can take advantage of the included Android based Bentley tablet with the onboard 4G and WiFi. Opt for the range topping Naim audio system and you’ll get a staggering 1950 watt stereo with 18 speakers.
If this isn’t enough to set the Bentayga apart at the country club, Bentley offers the Mulliner Bespoke Program which opens up a catalog of 90 paint colors, 15 carpet options, 7 veneers, and 15 choices of interior trim hides.
The Bentayga is built off the same VW Group MLB-Evo platform as the new Audi Q7 and is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 gasoline engine which produces 600 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque. For those keeping track, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo only makes 520 horsepower. Bentley says the Bentayga will do 0-60 in 4.0 seconds, which by the way is as fast as the Bentley Continental GT Speed.
The Bentley Bentayga will go on sale in early 2016.
