You can’t be Rob Krider and write a column titled Racer Boy without actually doing some form of actual racing (bench racing doesn’t count!).  So when the new endurance racing series ChumpCar ( came out it was inevitable that the two would collide.  January 9-10, 2010, Speed Sport Life and “Racer Boy” Rob Krider will be taking on the world famous Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA.  The ChumpCar race that weekend will feature two separate seven hour endurance races for $500 cars.  Rob’s team considers Infineon their home track and they are looking forward to a great weekend of fun. 
If you want to try to knock ole “Racer Boy” off of his high horse, enter the event and try to kick his ass.  The official deadline for registration is passed, however the promoters said they will take some last minute entries.  If Infineon is just too far away for you, ChumpCar will be running events all over the country all year long.  To see the schedule and rules go to
