The number 112 red Mazda RX-7 got it done at ChumpCar with a huge gain at the end of the race picking up first place and a thousand dollars at the Infineon race on Sunday.
Krider Racing / Speed Sport Life in their number 38 Nissan Sentra ran out of gas three laps before the finish and had to do a splash and go, dropping them to the third and final podium position. Team Produnk in their number 29 Mazda Miata took advantage of the Speed Sport Life machine’s mistake and picked up second spot. The race weekend at ChumpCar was an enormous success and a lot of fun. The racing was super clean with virtually no contact between racecars.
With a second place finish on Saturday and a third place finish on Sunday, that gave the Krider Racing / Speed Sport Life car $500 in prize money (they were the only team to podium on both days). Eh, not too shabby? Then again, Ricky Bobby’s dad taught us all, “Second is the first loser.”
The next race is a true 24 hour event held at the Streets of Willow Springs in Southern California the 30-31 of January. Grab a $500 car and sign up quick.
