Audi’s new flagship SUV, the Q8, now has a top-spec diesel variant in Europe called the SQ8 TDI.

Like the Audi SQ7 TDI, the Audi SQ8 TDI features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 diesel engine which produces 429-horsepower and 664lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the quattro AWD system by way of an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The SQ8 TDI has a much more aggressive look than standard fare Q8s, with unique front and rear fascias, and S-car signature dual exhaust tips out back.

While the top-spec SQ8 TDI will not be bound for US shores, there have been rumors of an even higher spec RSQ8 that could make its way over. With the success of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63S and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Audi bringing over an RSQ8 would make perfect sense.

The Audi SQ8 TDI goes on sale in Europe later this year.
