The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Gus’s Fried Chicken challenge. Twenty-four miles door to door, twenty of which were 75-80mph highway. Seat massagers and cooled seats on at 100-degree ambient temperature in June. Made it there on pure electric power right as the range turned to 0. Not bad, considering it’s rated at 25 miles in EV mode, and we were not driving it any differently than we would an ICE car. Switched right over to hybrid power on the way home. 31.2 mpg overall, which is excellent for a Grand Cherokee. This Jeep 4xe drivetrain is a GEM.

As previous WK2 Grand Cherokee owners, we were skeptical that the new WL Grand Cherokee would live up to our expectations, but it does, and it blows away the WK2 in nearly every way. We’re still on the fence about this being a better-looking Grand Cherokee, but it certainly has grown us the more we see it. The rest of the WL is better than the WK2 in every other way without question.

Now just waiting for Jeep to put the 3.0L turbo I6 in it…

Also, Gus’s Fried Chicken is the best in town, and I won’t be taking any questions.
