Nissan’s 2013 Altima replacement has leaked ahead of the 2012 New York International Auto Show. Their bread-and-butter replacement boasts what they claim is a segment-beating 38mpg highway rating from a warmed-over 2.5L 4-cylinder engine (the 3.5L VQ V6 returns unchanged). Most importantly, the interior is thoroughly refreshed. Take a gander at the full release below, along with a couple more photos.

This morning, GM will reveal “a revolutionary vehicle to help people move through crowded cities and alleviate the significant issues of congestion, safety, parking, affordability, and energy concerns.” This vehicle may be the next evolution of the “Personal Urban Mobility & Accessibility” collaboration with Segway. We’re liveblogging the details as they surface.
With the 2009 New York Auto Show just around the corner, we’re starting to get a glimpse of the vehicles that will be shown. One such vehicle that will be shown is this all-new Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, which features the monster 6.2-liter V8 engine found in other recent AMG models. This new E63 gets an 11 horsepower bump from the outgoing model to 518, and torque is bumped up to a very substantial 465lb-ft.
The new E63 will also sport the new seven-speed dual clutch SpeedShift transmission that found its way into the SL63 roadster. Mercedes-Benz claims that this reduces fuel consumption by 12%, and makes driving a whole hell of a lot more fun. Suspension wise, the E63 gets AMGRIDE CONTROL which is Mercedes’ fancy word for electronically controlled damping system.
While we here at S:S:L are a bit split on the new E-Class design direction, we all agree that we can’t wait to get one of these on a road course.
